Who we are
Kassap Meat House is the restaurant at 77 Bold Street, Liverpool L1 4EZ. We are responsible for the personal data collected through this website, boldst.kassap.co.uk. You can reach us on 0151 709 2188, by email at info@kassap.co.uk, through our contact form or at the restaurant.

What we collect and why
- Contact form: your name, email address and message, so that we can answer you (our legitimate interest in replying to you, or the steps you ask us to take before a booking). The message is emailed to us; the website does not keep a copy.
- Phone calls, emails and visits: what you tell us, to deal with your booking or request.
- Website logs: like every website, our server records your IP address, your browser and the pages you request, to keep the site secure and working (our legitimate interest).
We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
Table bookings and gift vouchers
Online table bookings are made through ResDiary, a table-booking service, in the booking window on our Reservation and About Us pages. ResDiary collects the details you enter there, such as your party size, the date and time and your contact details, and passes them to us so that we can manage your booking. ResDiary handles this data under its own privacy notice.
Gift vouchers are bought in TableGo’s voucher window on our Gift Vouchers page. The purchase, including payment, takes place in that window, not on our website; payments are processed by Stripe. We receive the details we need to honour the voucher. TableGo and Stripe handle this data under their own privacy notices.
Cookies and local storage
Our website itself does not set cookies, and nothing on it tracks you for advertising or analytics. The page builder we use (Elementor) keeps a small value called elementor in your browser’s local storage and session storage for its layout features; it contains no personal data.
On the Gift Vouchers page, the voucher window loads Stripe’s payment service, which sets a cookie called m on m.stripe.com (it lasts about a year) to help prevent payment fraud.
When we checked, the booking window (ResDiary), the maps (Google) and the reviews on our home page did not set cookies when the page loaded. If you use them, those companies may set their own cookies under their own policies.
Services from other companies
- Google Maps on our Contact, Reservation and About Us pages shows where we are. Google receives your IP address when the map loads. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Reviews on our home page are shown by Trustindex. The review widget, the reviewers’ profile pictures (from Google and Tripadvisor) and a font (from Google Fonts) are loaded from those companies, which receive your IP address when the page loads.
- ResDiary runs our online bookings and TableGo (with Stripe for payments) our gift vouchers (see above).
- The links to our Facebook, Instagram and Tripadvisor pages and to press articles take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the companies that provide services for us: the company that hosts and maintains this website, our email provider (Google), ResDiary for bookings, TableGo and Stripe for gift vouchers, and the companies named above whose content appears on our pages. Some of these services, Google for example, may process data outside the UK under their own safeguards. We may also share data when the law requires it.
How long we keep your data
- Contact form messages: in our mailbox for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.
- Booking and gift voucher details: for as long as we need them to manage your booking or voucher, and as described in ResDiary’s and TableGo’s privacy notices.
- Website logs: for a short time, for security.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it in a form you can take to another service. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, call us on 0151 709 2188, email info@kassap.co.uk or use our contact form.
Complaints and changes
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
We may update this policy when the website or our services change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
